Congrats Rick Perry! You Have Made Texans Look Even Dumber...

For those of you who watched Saturday Night Live this past weekend, you saw the fantastic impression of my Texas governor, Rick Perry. Recently, I have been receiving comments from some of my friends from out of town (up north) about the fantastic campaign Rick Perry has got going for him. They always make these cracks at me because I'm from Texas. Let's clear one thing up: I am in no way a fan of Rick Perry. I spend half of my day making fun of the stupid things he says. Most people from Texas don't like Rick Perry (but if you are from Texas, and you're reading this, and you like Rick Perry, please Do NOT return to my blog again...). In my honest opinion, he makes us look like idiots. Drunk idiots to be exact, and for the some Texans, that is true...however, there is a population of Texas that knows how to form coherent sentences, and knows that a good pizza doesn't have ambien and beer on it, but cheese and pepporoni (with the beer and ambien on the side...duh!) Yes: Texas produced both George W. Bush and Rick Perry. But don't hold it against all of us. Some of us tried to change the vote...the state is just too big!

On another note: My show is going wonderfully right now! I wrote my directors note today and got very emotional and really into it. My cast is working so hard, even Jessi Liftman, I just need them to work an ounce harder so that, come next week during dress rehearsals, our show is flawless! WE ARE SO CLOSE! They just need to learn how to focus. And have energy. And know their lines. And their blocking. And not pay attention to the fact that I am being annoying out in the audience. They work hard!!

Also, I learned how to upload vidoes onto my blog, and my brother kept sending me funny videos and I though that this one brought back a lot of pleasent memories. Enjoy!

How odd???

Hello all! Sorry it has been a while since my last post, but life has been pretty crazy! But as I said in my last blog, today we are going to talk about a couple of things that I just don't quite understand. Now, don't get me wrong, I am usually a very understanding person, because I am so weird too. However these are things that I even stop and think "WHY?!"

First and foremost: the rolly backpack. When I was in the second grade, I had a rolly backpack that had tweety bird on it, and this was also at the same time that everyone had rolly backpacks, they were the cool thing! But when you are a freshman/sophomore in high school...why the rolly backpack? I don't know if you have realized, but the hallways of Clements High School are usually extremely packed, and if your backpack is on wheels, you are taking up twice as much space. Not to mention, they usually walk slow...(And we all know how much I hate slow walkers in the hallways...). Here's the thing though, I would never act on my hatred of the rolly backpack, like Jessi Liftman does. Everytime she sees one, she kicks it...how rude!!!!

Here is another thing I don't quite understand, and this one I see all the time because I am a student aide for Coach Cox in my PE class. Why on earth would you put on make up before PE??? I don't know!! Are you worried that the other girls in your all girls PE class are going to judge you because you look a little shiny? Probably not, because they all are sweating their butts off because they are ALSO doing laps around the school in 94 degree weather! I mean, really...Who are you trying to impress?!?!

And finally, the last thing that I just don't get, and that is the double steppers. People who skip every other step when they are walking up the main stairways... Do you really think you are going to get their faster when you are walking behind someone who isn't skipping every other step? Think about that... hmmm...

For those of you who were wondering, my show is going rather well. I had a minor freak out today in rehearsal because some people aren't fantastic at their lines. But, I may have over reacted a little bit. I think I have very high expectations for my actors because they're all my friends. I am excited for the show to go up, and I hope all of my readers (all 3 of you...) come and see my show! Because it is going to be AH-freaking-MAZING!
